Nomenclature of Courts
With the accession of King Charles III, references in court rules, forms and court signage to “Queen’s Bench Division” should be construed as “King’s Bench Division” with immediate effect. References to “Her Majesty” should be read as “His Majesty”. Any reference to the Queen in a writ issued prior to today’s date is to be construed as a reference to the King.
