McKearney & Fox Inquest

Inquests touching upon the deaths of Kevin McKearney, John (Jack) McKearney, Charles Fox and Teresa Fox

On 3 January 1992 Kevin McKearney, who was 32 years old, and his uncle Jack McKearney, who was 69 years old, were shot while working in the family butchers shop in the Moy, Dungannon. Kevin McKearney died from his injuries on 3 January 1992 while Jack McKearney died from his injuries on 4 April 1992.

On 6 September 1992, Charles Fox, who was 63 years old, and his wife Teresa Fox, who was 54 years old, sustained gunshot wounds in their home in the area of the Moy, Dungannon. Both died from their injuries.

These inquests, the first into the deaths of Kevin McKearney, Jack McKearney, Charles Fox and Teresa Fox, were linked following a review of legacy inquests by the Presiding Coroner, The Honourable Mr Justice Humphreys.

These inquests are included within the 5 year legacy inquest plan.
