Appointed:
District Judge Rice was sworn into office on the 7th November 2025. She graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2003 and qualified as a solicitor in 2005. She practiced in family law and qualified as a Solicitor Advocate in 2011. She has previously held roles as Legal Member of the Appeals Tribunal Northern Ireland and Presiding Member of the Legal Services Agency Appeals Panel. She was President of the Law Society of Northern Ireland from 2018-2019 and held a public appointment with the NI Department of Health Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority.
